Get ready for another explosive week in comics! On April 16th, 2025, a new wave of highly anticipated titles is hitting the shelves, bringing intense storylines, jaw-dropping artwork, and must-have collectibles to the spotlight.
From the monstrous energy of Mark Spears' Monsters #1 to the crossover chaos of Godzilla vs. Hulk, there’s something for every kind of comic fan. Whether you're chasing 1:20 variants, diving into indie treasures like La Rosa Blanca, or following Marvel's latest Avengers reshuffle, this week promises a little bit of everything.
With Superior Avengers #1 launching a bold new era under Doctor Doom, and The Three-Body Problem Vol. 2 continuing its cerebral sci-fi saga, it's a week packed with both spectacle and substance. Even if you're not in it for the speculation game, there’s plenty here that deserves a spot on your pull list or at least your reading stack.
So, whether you're a seasoned collector, a fan of pop culture crossovers, or just in it for the love of great stories and art, this week’s lineup is not to be missed..

TRENDING RELEASES NEXT WEEK
MARK SPEARS MONSTERS #1 1:20 EVIL DEAD HOMAGE
The monsters keep coming, and this one pays tribute to Evil Dead. If you missed the original Evil Dead comic series, there’s still time to jump on board. This pre-order for May is already trending and is listed as a top ten collectible. We also have a limited amount available at the. 98 store here.

THE LEGEND OF LA ROSA BLANCA #1 (LERIX ED VIRGIN) LTD 250
Indie comics are always a risk if you're collecting for potential price increases. That said, if you're in it for the art, the story, and the rarity, this could be a great pick. The narrative sounds intriguing, featuring monsters, the undead, demons, and heroes, right in line with the top trends in comics right now.
I’ll be reading this one for sure, even if it ends up as wallpaper by the end of the day.

SUPERIOR AVENGERS #1
This issue kicks off the "One World Under Doom" crossover event, with Doctor Doom assembling a new team of Avengers.
The combination of a major event and a reimagined lineup under Doom’s command suggests this could be a pivotal release. It’s a collector’s issue and potentially a future key, especially if it ties into wider continuity.

GODZILLA VA HULK #1
A true heavyweight showdown! This one-shot features a colossal battle between two iconic powerhouses. Hulk has been trending recently, and although there have been a few Godzilla crossovers already, this pairing feels fresh and exciting. It has strong potential for dynamic storytelling and is definitely on my watchlist..

THE TREE-BODY PROBLEM VOL.2
This probably won’t be a financial investment, but I love comic adaptations linked to great sci-fi series. Given the success and storytelling brilliance of Netflix’s The Three-Body Problem, I think this will be a compelling read. And really, that’s what collecting comics is all about: enjoyment.
In summary: Wang Miao delves deeper into the Frontiers of Science, trying to uncover their true motives and the meaning behind the mysterious countdown flashing before his eyes. Instead of answers, he receives only a cryptic command: “ Stop your nanomaterial research.”
Cool, right? If you haven’t watched the Netflix show yet, I highly recommend giving it a go.

That wraps up my top picks for next week. Whether you're hunting for key issues, rare variants, or the next big spec book, there’s plenty to keep an eye on. Get your pull lists ready, this week is stacked!
