Comics to Collect: October 22nd, 2025
Buckle up, collectors, this week is a wild ride through American history, backwoods crime, blazing horror, and crossover chaos. Marvel drops a time-twisting revolution book, and the Winchesters return to the hunt.
And if that’s not enough? We’ve got Xenomorphs and a Predator hunting ancient evil in space ruins. Yeah, this week’s is madness.
Here are the Top Collector Picks worth circling on your pull list in my opinion. Pre-order wisely, hunt hard, and watch the variants.
1776 #1
Buckle up, because this week we’re diving into a time‑twisting 1776, history‑saving thrill ride courtesy of Marvel Comics. This could be an interesting one: a mysterious force dares to tamper with the very sacred threads of history (what again?), and who steps up? Our star‑spangled hero, Captain America, along with a formidable squad of Marvel’s.
Their mission? Jump back to the dawn of the American Revolution and make sure the founding of the United States of America stays exactly where it’s supposed to. The stakes are massive, the past is perilous, and the future hangs in the balance.
I feels and look like a keeper, so I am in on this one.

American Caper #1
This is a gritty, satirical crime saga created and written by Dan Houser (yes, co‑founder of Grand Theft Auto & Red Dead Redemption) with additional writing by Lazlow, art by Eisner‑Award winner David Lapham, and covers by Tyler Boss, setting this up to be a hidden sleeper.
The story follows two neighbours on the brink: a Mormon hitman and a gambling‑addict lawyer, locked in a failed real‑estate deal. Layer in a Mexican beauty queen on the run, two escaped convicts in love, a billionaire cowboy, and a vengeful maniac. The backdrop? A broken American landscape: corrupt business, inept politicians, bungling criminals, leisure‑wear going wrong, and a national nightmare of real‑estate and snake oil. It has a TV screen potential all over it.

Supernatural #1
The series brings back the Winchester brothers, Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester (from the TV show Supernatural), in a brand‑new comic set between Seasons 1 and 2 of the show. Writer Greg Pak (known for Darth Vader, Lilo & Stitch) and artist Eder Messias (known for Sam Wilson: Captain America) deliver the story.
Issue #1 opens with mysterious fires in a decaying Rust Belt town, first, a factory at Windler Industries burns down, then several of its employees spontaneously combust. The Winchesters must dig into what’s behind this sinister series of events, and the culprit might be more prepared (and evil) than they thought. if you're a fan of the show, this is a get comic.

Alien Vs. Captain America #2
Don't often call out #2 editions, and this one is a pre-order for December. But if the cover turns out to be this one, it has the hallmarks of an epic classic cover.
If you are already following this wild, limited series, it throws Captain America (Steve Rogers) and his team, and Bucky Barnes, into a World War nightmare scenario. Hydra have discovered the terrifying alien lifeforms known as Xenomorphs (from the Alien franchise) and is using them as weapons behind enemy lines. Expect horror, war‑front action, and some truly brutal visuals.
The comics typically do well, so adding to my collections

Predator: Badlands #1
This cover of the week, just an EPIC comic that needs to be slabbed
This is a one‑shot prequel comic to the upcoming film Predator: Badlands, and was produced in collaboration with the film’s creative team.
The story focuses on a young Yautja warrior tasked by his father to retrieve a piece of technology from a derelict spaceship, which seems simple quickly turns into an ancient and deadly threat.
Just love these Movie expanding comics.

Final Word
Cap versus chaos in 1776, Xenomorphs behind enemy lines, this week has everything from speculative indie plays to potential breakout Marvel keys. 1776 #1 leads the charge, but every title on this list has a unique collector angle worth watching.
If you're building your bag this week, focus on first prints, variant heat, and new #1s. Then trust your gut, that's where the real collector's edge lives. Until next week, keep those corners sharp and your speculation sharper
