A week for hidden gems, from Bat-Family shakeups to supernatural resurrections, from indie horror debuts to nostalgic cartoon reimagining, this is one of those weeks where every pull list feels too small.
It’s not just about superheroes this week, it’s about reinvention. Characters like Jason Todd and Danny Rand are being pushed into bold new territory, while fan-favorite legacies like Blue Falcon & Dynomutt, who are back with fresh grit and Marvel’s Red Band relaunch of The Punisher, mean we have a week stacked with potential.
Whether you chase ratio variants, nostalgia-fuelled revivals, or indie horror with breakout potential, there’s something in this stack for everyone.
RED HOOD #1 (DC)
Jason Todd steps back into the spotlight this week with a moody, mature relaunch in Red Hood #1. This version of Red Hood leans deep into trauma, legacy, and vengeance. It’s one of the more emotionally raw titles in DC’s line-up..

As a series featuring a core Bat-family character, Jason Todd has severed ties with Gotham and Batman. All he’s carrying into his next chapter is his Red Hood gear, his motorcycle, and a metal briefcase packed with twin handguns and a whole lot of bullets. His new destination? A city drowning in crime, corruption, and vice. It’s exactly the kind of place where Jason thinks he can disappear… or maybe make a difference on his own terms.
But things spiral fast when he uncovers a deadly conspiracy involving a superpowered serial killer targeting the city’s police.

BLUE FALCON & DYNOMUTT #1 (Dynamite)
Radley Crown was once the picture of success: a gifted inventor, an influential art collector, and a man living the high life above Big City with his faithful dog by his side. But when tragedy strikes at the hands of a ruthless gang, his world is ripped apart. Using his technological brilliance and his unbreakable bond with his canine companion, Radley reinvents himself, turning both man and dog into a high-tech crime-fighting duo: Blue Falcon and Dynomutt.

This relaunch isn’t just a nostalgic callback; it’s a modernized reimagining written by Jimmy Palmiotti, a creator with a long track record of breathing fresh energy into legacy characters. Paired with artist Pasquale Qualano, the series leans into darker, emotionally charged storytelling while still celebrating the offbeat charm of the classic cartoon.

PUNISHER #1 Red Band (Marvel)
Marvel relaunches one of its most iconic anti-heroes this week with Punisher #1, and all eyes are on what’s next for Frank Castle. Reboots of legacy characters always invite speculation, but this one carries extra weight. With a brand-new creative team and modernized direction, let's see whether this new arc resets the Punisher mythos for a new era, spinning it somewhere darker.

#1 issue in a major franchise, this one has all the right ingredients. Watch for variant announcements and early reviews to further spike demand. Red Bands have been great, so this is going to be awesome.

THE UNDEAD IRON FIST #1 (Marvel)
Danny Rand is back from the dead, resurrected after his death in the 50th Anniversary special, but this isn’t just a comeback; it’s a full-blown transformation. The newly minted Iron Fist introduces a darker, mystic-infused version of the character.

With kinetic visuals and Marvel’s horror imprint driving the tone, this limited series is poised to be a hit. Danny is “swinging with ruthless vengeance” from the very first issue and teased that his journey will lead him back into the main Marvel continuity.

IT KILLED EVERYONE ELSE BUT ME #1
The title alone should have your attention. This horror debut is flying just under the radar so Low print run, but early retailer listings and preview buzz suggest a chilling survival tale with major twists. As a first issue with mystery and suspense baked in, it’s the kind of launch that, as an indie horror fan, I can't wait for. So what's this all about?

Summer, 1996. Sutton Reed had everything: a tight circle of friends, a loving family, and a future that couldn’t have looked brighter. But it all shattered in one blood-soaked weekend when her friends were brutally murdered, leaving her the lone survivor of what became known as the Riverton Massacre.
Now, years later, Riverton is haunted again. Two teens vanish under eerie circumstances, dredging up old scars and pulling Sutton, now a divorced single mother, back into the nightmare she’s tried to bury.
To stop the killings, Sutton must confront the truth she’s hidden for decades and unearth the monster she locked away long ago.
Final Word
This week has “speculator gold” written all over it. Between Marvel and DC leaning hard into bold resets (Red Hood, Punisher, Undead Iron Fist) and horror continuing its dominance (It Killed Everyone Else But Me), it’s clear publishers know where the heat is.
