TRENDING RELEASES NEXT WEEK

ACTION COMICS #1 (New 52)

Superman has landed, and so has this stunning cover from the Comic Mint, limited to just 500 copies! Even better? There's an option to get it signed, making this a true collector’s gem. The cover art features Krypto !!! always a win in my book.

With the Superman movie performing strong at the box office, this could be the start of something bigger, think Krypto spin-offs, expanded storylines, and renewed interest in key issues. .

THE VOICE SAID KILL #1 (Image Comics)

This one’s got cult classic written all over it. From the wild mind of Si Spurrier (Hellblazer, The Flash) and the haunting visuals of Vanesa Del Rey (Redlands, Black Widow), The Voice Said Kill kicks off a four-issue Cajun crime-horror thriller that’s as brutal as it is bizarre. Set deep in the Louisiana swamps, the story weaves together a pregnant park ranger, ruthless poachers, a crumbling criminal family, and a half-crazed man on a mind-altering mushroom trip, locked and loaded for a “Human Hunt.” Yeah, it’s that kind of book.

Image is describing it as “Fargo meets Deliverance,” and the oversized first issue doesn’t hold back. Visually, it’s drenched in murky dread, hallucinogenic detail, and raw Southern Gothic energy. Early reviewers are already calling it one of the most twisted new debuts of the year. If you’re into off-the-wall horror with a sharp literary edge, this is a Day One pickup. And with Spurrier’s name attached, don’t be surprised if it ends up optioned for TV or streaming down the line.

DOCTOR APHRA CHAOS AGENT #2

Now is definitely the time to jump on this series if you haven’t already. Doctor Aphra has been a standout in Star Wars comics since her debut in Darth Vader #3 and fans have been buzzing for years about the inevitable live-action debut. With Lucasfilm expanding its Disney+ slate, it feels like just a matter of time before we see Doctor Aphra headlining her own series. She's already one of the most popular original characters from Marvel’s Star Wars line , a rogue archaeologist with shades of Indiana Jones and Han Solo, but with way less restraint.

In this issue, Aphra finds herself teaming up (uneasily) with none other than Luke Skywalker in a high-stakes search for a powerful artifact. But let’s be honest , we know Aphra. Her alliances rarely last long when treasure's on the line. Will she betray Luke and make off with the prize? Will the Empire show up first? It's that perfect Star Wars blend of danger, wit, and wild twists.

For collectors, early Aphra keys are still surprisingly affordable, but the window may not stay open long. This issue could serve as another solid moment in her arc especially if it sets up larger crossover events in the Star Wars universe.

THE WORLD TO COME #2 (Marvel Comics)

This series has already made waves, with issue #1 landing on the CovrPrice Top 10 shortly after release , and for good reason. If you can still snag a copy of that first issue at a reasonable price, don’t hesitate. It’s heating up fast among collectors. Why? Because this isn’t just another event comic, it’s one that will reshape the entire Marvel 616 Universe.

Packed with epic showdowns, major character moments, and high-stakes drama, this series brings together some of the most beloved (and powerful) heroes in the Marvel roster. From cosmic threats to moral dilemmas, it’s delivering blockbuster energy with every issue. And so far? It’s not disappointing. Fans are loving the pacing, the surprises, and the implications for what comes next.

From a collector’s standpoint, this feels like more than just a good read it’s shaping up to be a must-have event series. Keep an eye out for key variants and any major reveals in upcoming issues that could add long-term value

616 HEATSEEKER EXPOSED #2 LTD 500

616 Comics continues to deliver some of the best-looking exclusive covers on the market — and this one absolutely keeps the streak alive. Their eye for bold, stylish artwork has made them a favorite among variant hunters, and while the Heat Seeker series may lean toward a more mature audience (think under-18 need not apply), it’s gained a loyal following thanks to its unique blend of seductive storytelling and high-octane action.

This particular cover might be one of the tamer entries in the line, but it still pops , with clean composition, a sleek aesthetic, and just enough edge to make it stand out in any display. It’s definitely one that’ll turn heads in a CGC slab. For collectors who love striking art with boutique print runs, this is a great pickup, whether you’re already into Heat Seeker or just hunting that next must-have exclusive.

Whether you're chasing first appearances, eye-popping covers, or just a great read, there's something in this week's lineup worth bagging and boarding.

We’re seeing a trend: high-concept horror, big universe events, and boutique variant heat are dominating the collector landscape right now. If a book’s got a limited print run or serious buzz behind it, don’t wait, those CGC 9.8 dreams start with smart pre-orders.

Stay sharp, stay speculative, and as always, happy hunting, collectors
